Have you all been wondering about the Riverdale Ramble? 

This year, in recognition of the tragic events at the Boston Marathon, we are dedicating a special run to those who suffered at the Boston Marathon and to the running community, and are doing something different: 

Instead of a timed road 10K, we will be holding a community run. on Saturday, June 1 in Van Cortlandt Park. We will meet at 8:00 am at The Tortoise and the Hare. This will be a "Ramble" in  the Bronx for Boston.  

Runners will have the choice of one (5K)  or two (10K) loops of the XC course. We are asking for a minimum of a $5.00 contribution, but you may offer as much as you want.  Please make your donation online.  We will provide a clock and yellow (Boston) and purple (VCTC) ribbons for all participants but the event will not be timed officially and will be open to walkers as well as runners. 

Please bring a copy of the receipt for your donation to the Boston One fund. This will serve as your race registration (you will be asked to sign a waiver when you come). If you want to make a donation on race day instead, VCTC will send all proceeds on your behalf. 

By holding the run in Van Cortlandt Park instead of the streets of Riverdale, we keep costs to a minimum and every penny collected can be donated to the Boston One Fund to assist victims of the Boston bombings and their families.

Coming this fall on Labor Day weekend, (Sunday, September 1) we will be putting on a brand new Riverdale B'Ramble 10K, a challenging course that will incorporate Cemetery Hill, loops of  the XC course, and the flats. We promise you hills to rival those on the streets of Riverdale.
