Reminder: Golf, Saturday, May 26, 2012
Please arrive at Mosholu Golf Course, by 10:15 a.m., and no later than 10:30 a.m. 3545 Jerome Avenue, Bronx, NY, 718-655-9164. (Entrance on Western side of Jerome Ave., 150 yards or so North of the # 4 IRT Woodlawn Train Station). We'll meet at the Clubhouse.
Nine Hole - Round, Scramble Foursome Format. Brief 10 minute golf introductory/warm-up at the Driving Range prior to tee-off. Time permitting, we may try to play the 8th Tee/Hole as "Speed Golf" (Hit your ball, RUN to the next location until putt). Round of golf approximately 2/2.5 hours (We must keep the ball moving!); BBQ follows at approximately 1:00 p.m.
Have $ payment with you: $55.00 cash (preferred); if by check, TWO SEPARATE checks, $16.00 payable to "Bob Buckmaster," and $39.00 payable to "First Tee Metro NY."
PARKING is available in the two lots. PLEASE NOTE: if a parking attendant is not available, park your vehicle in the lot, and remember you must purchase a token for $3.50 per vehicle from the Clubhouse. You will need the token to EXIT the parking lot. Try to carpool!
Mosholu Course Rule: Everyone playing golf must have a golf bag with some clubs in it (full set of 14 clubs is not required and clubs not needed if just driving the cart). (Club rental is $30.00). If you have extra clubs, bags, balls, tees, gloves, etc., please bring to lend. Running shoes are O.K., if you do not have golf shoes.
PLEASE bring sunscreen, a hat, and men should have collared shirts. Water is available on the course.
