NYC Marathon 2009 Carpool to the start options
The plan is this:
We have 2 vans available: 1 van holds 11 runner plus 1 driver, and the other van holds 14 runners plus 1 driver.
I think the average cost for this ride per/runner will fall around $5-10 per person. I won't know exactly what the shared cost will be until I have a full count on who is coming.
We have room for a total of 25 runners, if we don't get close to that number then the cost might change, as we have to evenly divide up the costs to get 2 vans (gas, tolls, driver).
We meet outside the handball courts next to the track at VC Park on Sunday morning November 1st.
7am is the meet time, we will LEAVE latest by 7:15AM.
I have driven to Staten Island from Riverdale via NJ (George Washington Bridge) and it's very fast, usually less than 40minutes!
So I fully expect us all to be safely inside the staging area by 8:30AM at the latest. (last year I left at 8am and was IN the staging area waiting around for the start by 8:50am)

The van only holds 14 runner sand one driver, So we have a very nice offer from Tami Luhby that she will be taking the 4 over flow riders that we have in her personal car. A BIG thanks to her for this offer!. Each person will need to have $8. cash to help pay for the driver, gas, and tolls.
If you are no longer needing a ride please update me asap on this - this is the final and closed list now. Everyone meet at 7am at the handball courts - we leave by 7:15am
