In order for the Van Cortlandt Track club to obtain guaranteed entries to the NYC Marathon
we must provide volunteers and notify the NYRR volunteer co-ordinator 2 weeks i advance of the race. If you want to volunteer add your name and email address under the race you are volunteering for. We may get some flexibility if there are fewer volunteers than they need. But since mosy of our members live arounf Van Cortlandt Park, we may be able to do it more easily.



Guaranteed entries to the INGNYC Marathon will be awarded in proportion to the number of volunteers provided to NYRR races during the Race Period

The Race Period will be the 12-month period preceding the Marathon



NYRR will inform the clubs 2 weeks in advance of each race how many volunteers are required and volunteer places will be scheduled on a first-come first-served basis.

If we supply 10 to 20 volunteers we get 2 entries
if we supply 20 to 30 volunteers we get 4 entrie
if we supply 31+ vounteers we get 5 entries
