Thanks Ken.  I was feeling pretty beat after this one. 400 recoveries (due to time constraints) will make me tough though!  The new semester will be conducive to tough Tuesday morning workouts, so keep the challenges coming :)

Fantastic workout Rachel ! Lots of strength there. Some sharpening over the next few weeks and you'll be ready to take names.

Hardest workout in recent memory: 3x1600
6:24, 6:25, 6:23

I had to play a lot of mental games to hang on!

I thought the workout would be moderate effort.....that the 1/4's would feel easy.....
Not the case....i had to work reasonably hard....and was sore after....

4x800 at 5k pace is such a good work out...

Lou, what felt difficult, the 400's, the 200's, both, the recovery, the ability to keep up the pace ? Spill, babe !

Dave, those are impressive repeat mile times. Good strength base, now you can dial up the speed over the next few weeks.

Tonight the club did 4 x 800@ supposed 5K pace and 4 x 200@ supposed mile pace. We had close to 40 runners, lots of speed out there tonight !

Nice workouts, guys!  Hit the track for the first time in months today.  Did 3x1600 with 800 jog recovery and 1.25 warm-up and cool-down.  Did 'em in 5:55, 5:55, 5:50.  Was very happy when it was over!
