- Irish born, Bronx raised

- the Bronx- Riverdale
- What's your favorite running shoe?
- New Balance b/c I ran my first (& to date only) marathon in them
- Pet Peeve?
- Ugh, when reading a magazine, trying to find an article on a particular page and none of the pages have numbers on them!
Running related pet peeve: runners who make too much noise, breathing, grunting, wheezing, excessive who-ha-ing
- How did you get into running?
- I had 8th period free (last class of the day) my sophomore year of high school at Spellman. However, only the Seniors were allowed to leave early if they had last period free; it was a "Senior Privilege". And so, I sat at a cafeteria table the end of every school day for the fall semester with four girls who ran track and cross country. They made running sound cool and fun. I started running.
- Most memorable performance(s) and why?
- . . . hmm . . . ?? hmmm . . . PowerBar 6K in 1996 b/c I ran it fast (for me). Running portion of Fairfield CT 2009 Sprint Distance Triathlon. By hook or crook or backstroke I survived the swim. My bike is so slow I might as well have put streamers on the handlebars. But my did I have a fast (for me) 5K. 1998 NYC Marathon, because it's the NYC Marathon!
- Running hero's?
- on the to-do list: get a running hero
- Future goals?
- Some day, some day a 100 mile ultra. To train for and run a super fast Fifth Avenue Mile (maybe in 2014)
