Upcoming races that should be of interest to members and friends of VCTC. This list is not meant to be exhaustive. These are races that are either popular with VCTCers or on my personal bucket list. Be sure to add your favorite and why you think others might want to run it in the comment section below.

Wow. I am afraid if they go technical on me. I do know a couple of women who switched from the RRR to the Divas, and I know that they never did a three month grace period, but I also know that they did not take out the "old Rule Book" either. I ran Coogan's and the Scotland Run with the RRR and that's within that three month window.
I have a different question. I would like to switch my previous registrations to VCTC, but one really good thing that the RRR Team Leader did was to make sure anyone who qualifies, gets to get into the Local Elite Coral (and Waiting Area) for the NYC Marathon. The requirement is a 1:32 half marathon for Males in my age group, and I have qualified through a few races in the past year. Do you guys work on that as well?
I do hope to join some of these runs, especially when my daughter is finished with 9th grade this year.

I am running Brooklyn, but right now, I am technically running the Brooklyn Half for Rockland Road Runners. I moved from Rockland to Hudson Heights, and while I joined Van Contland, I am still current on my dues for RRR. I recently signed up for a bunch of races including Japan Day, Queens, and the Bronx Half under Van Cortland. But the Kidney, Brooklyn, the NYC Marathon, I am registered still under RRR.
But, I do look forward to being part of the VCTC team (especially joining a new age group - (50-54) on August 1st.
James - thank you for the birthday wishes! It was great to see you out on the course!
