How did you get into running?

Childhood... Terribly uncoordinated when it came to sports, but I was fast! Dad was a high school track star and got my interest... Running was a family sport.

What's your favorite race(s)?

Boardwalk 5K in Seaside Heights

Most memorable performance(s) and why?

Winning my first 800 at Colgate Games... I beat my PR by 10 seconds, and was in and out of a scoliosis brace at the time which made it particularly significant to me. First time winning a race in front of a huge crowd.

Running hero's?

Anne Marie Lauck was a mentor to me growing up in Central Jersey.

Why do you run?

Sense of peace and mental clarity... Running helps me to set goals and map out how to achieve them. I do my best thinking and planning on a long run.

What do you consider yourself, The Tortoise, or The Hare?

Depends on the day!

Future goals?

I want to compete in a triathlon by my 30th birthday.... Just getting back into the sport, so my top priority is to prevent injury and not to push to hard as I have in the past.
