Track Runs

Save The Putnam Trail

The purpose of this campaign is to get the Putnam Trail resurfaced with a stone dust instead of paved asphalt and reduce the proposed width from 16ft down to 8ft. Current NYC Parks Department plans will double the current width of the Putnam Trail from 8ft to 16ft! To gain a better perspective on this proposal, think of the fact that this trail will be wider than average lane on an interstate highway, which is 12ft. Wow Michael, great race and nice recap. Having felt true agony in the last miles of a simple marathon, I can't even conceive of what a Mile 99 must feel like, but you did a good job describing it.
