How did you get into running?

My first running 'phase' was on the Stuyvesant High School Cross Country team and Track team (1988 - 1989). Didn't run for years after that (I was more of a cyclist, and worked for 7 years as a bike messenger). When I was laid off my job as DHL courier in Dec. 2008 I began running again to stay in shape. First routes were around Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Just moved to Inwood in June & been upping my mileage / intensity.

Not a racer (except for H.S. meets in the late 80's, VCP!!!! <3 )

Most memorable performance(s) and why?

Placed 2nd in the mile in H.S. meet (city wide? dont really remember :)

Anyone who has ever finished a Marathon)!

Why do you run?

I'm addicted

What do you consider yourself, The Tortoise, or The Hare?

I am for sure the Tortoise

Future goals?

1) Improve my speed to at least 8 min. mile over 10K.
2) Run a half marathon
3) Zip around the VCP cross country course like it's nothing!
