Finally, a truly beautiful day! A race famous for being on the most inclement day of spring, whether snow or blistering heat, we enjoyed brisk, sunny conditions. The trails were dry and dusty. For once, we had mud-free running. A few new downed trees to make things interesting, and despite a rash of stolen flags, no one got lost (at least no one reported missing as of 5 PM).

Once again, Steven Marselese and Stacey Creamer finished first. Steven came out a little slower, but didn't have the dramatic race to the death against Stuart Calderwood this time around. Stacey, on the other hand, knocked off 40 seconds from her time of last year. Who says we slow down in our 40's? A round of applause for all finishers, and a big thank you to the many who volunteered for this race.

We also want to thank Trail Runner Magazine for making us a featured race this year, North Fork Bank for sponsoring us, and as always, the Carrot Top, for providing our top finishers with the best muffins in the Bronx.
